Swivel base allows rotation through 360deg with firm locking at any position. The swivel base allows the vice to be used in confined spaces or where the angle of the vice has to be adjusted to accept work of varying lengths. The swivel base can be easily removed and the vice converted back to a regular fixed base vice.
